Not sure if this is news to anyone else, but it is news to me. According to CNN, the OV-10 is seeing duty again in the fight against ISIS. That’s great news, seeing as they are cheap, rugged, and pack a helluva punch.

In light of the USAF trying to kill off the A-10, I can’t believe something like this actually happened.
Amazing.

If I ever win the lottery, I plan to burn a lot of money on flying lessons and if the opportunity ever presents itself, buy one of these. They can operate from virtually anywhere.

How about we just buy a bunch of super tucanos and call it a day.

Why buy new when we have the world’s second largest Air Force sitting in the deserts of Arizona?

Because the super tucano is just a sexy piece of bad ass not to mention a fantastic close air support weapon.

They never completely left. But it’s nice to see them revived in the USAF. I have a friend who was a mechanic and worked on those in Vietnam.

We need a bunch of these with huge guns in the noses or on the wings and then the us would have swarms of cheap planes to attack with. Like mini a-10s.

If you ever do, I’m going to put an 8-Track in it and we can fly around listening to Bob Seger.
